Virus scan
To start an objects scan task,
in the user menu select one of the following options:
- Scan <Disk> – Kaspersky Rescue Disk scans each disk object (file) for viruses. If an infected or suspicious object is found, the user is invited to take actions on it.
After treating the infected / suspicious object, Kaspersky Rescue Disk removes all hyperlinks to this object from the registry and Windows service directory files.
- Scan all objects – Kaspersky Rescue Disk scans all files in all drives, including the autorun objects and boot sectors.
- Scan startup object – Kaspersky Rescue Disk scans the registry and files with .inf, .ini, .bat extensions of Windows service directories on all connected drives. Each object is scanned for viruses. If an infected or suspicious object is found, the user is invited to take actions on it.
After treating the infected / suspicious object, Kaspersky Rescue Disk removes all hyperlinks to this object from the registry and Windows service directory files.
- Scan disk boot sectors – Kaspersky Rescue Disk scans each disk boot sector for malicious objects. If a malicious object is found, the user can select an action on it.
After treating the malicious object, Kaspersky Rescue Disk removes all hyperlinks to this object from the registry and Windows service directory files.
